Community Safety Team

The City of London Community Safety Team coordinates multi-agency meetings for problem-solving and creating action plans to support children and vulnerable adults. It aims to reduce and prevent crime and offending behaviour, for example, by coordinating domestic abuse multi-agency risk assessment conferences (MARACs) to discuss the highest risk domestic abuse cases.

The team is responsible to taking the lead when responding to a community trigger, the process that gives victims of persistent antisocial behaviour the right to ask local agencies to review how they responded to specific situations and consider what further actions might be taken.

The core group of partners in the Community Safety Team includes:

  • Fire and rescue
  • Police
  • Local authority
  • Probation Trust
  • Registered social landlords
  • Clinical Commissioning Group
