Youth Justice & Family Intervention Service (Tower Hamlet)
Preventative services are designed to prevent children and young people from entering the youth justice system.
The aim of preventative services is to:
- Identify children and young people (aged eight to 17) who are most at risk of being involved in anti-social behaviour, school exclusion and offending behaviour, before they enter the youth justice system (i.e. before it is necessary for courts to deal with them).
- Prevent those children and young people from entering the youth justice system by allowing them the opportunity to modify their behaviour.
